I just got finished watching Todd Sheets' House of Forbidden Secrets. This indie flick had fantastic cinematography and I really felt like I was going back in time during certain scenes, but I also felt the stone cold presence of the present time simultaneously during this film. The music certainly sets the mood with its creepy and hauntingly beautiful melodies and chants.
The contemporary meets the era past for a well-blended understanding of what is going on in the film at present time. The plot unfolds slowly, with the element of surprise and suspense fully in tact to the amazement of the viewer. You really have no idea what is going on at first and the story fluidly builds up to a climactic ending.
If you are into watching unique indie flicks or any horror flicks with a unique story-line, fun gore, and natural characters, House of Forbidden Secrets is a choice film for your viewing pleasure.
