Upcoming Horror Movies for 2014

The Woman in Black: Angels of Death

This is an apparent continuation of The Woman in Black 40 years later.

I, Frankenstein

A fantastical sci-fi, horror, adventure film.  Adam, Victor Frankenstein's creation is caught up in a world of demons, gargoyles and the secrets of his immortality.

 Poltergeist (Remake)

Its a modern revision, please let's hope they don't destroy this classic!  Once in a while, this doesn't turn out bad as evidenced in The Omen when it was redone.

The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes

Please God, tell me this isn't as bad as it sounds.  The Amityville Horror franchise is really done and over with, we will see!

Paranormal Activity 5

Another one is released in 2014.  Prepare to be disappointed again.  If this doesn't suck, I will die of a heart attack.

Frankenstein (2014)

A new adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is scheduled for release in 2014 starring Daniel Radcliffe.  Usually, Frankenstein remakes turn out well.  There are so many different twists you can add to the story.

Dracula (2014)

This one sounds like a remake similar to the one titled Bram Stoker's Dracula in 1992.  Its said to be a mix of Bram Stoker's novel and the historical dracula, which I thought we covered in 1992, but I suppose a new creator will add their twist to the film and we will come out with something different minus Keanu Reeves' horrible British accent and the horrible British accent of his counterpart Winona Ryder.

All in all, though, that was one of my favorite movies of all time, because Gary Olman, Anthony Hopkins, and Sadie Frost really made up for the rest of the casts' bad accents and medicore portrayals of the characters.  I'm not sure who portrayed Renfield, but he was new and different and I also liked him.

Look forward to a new Dracula film in 2014!
